So while I was cruising the aisles at Target looking for panty hose to use for my last headband project, I found these tights with an amazing print and decided to chop those up and turn them into a headband too!!
All you need is
- a pair of tights or panty hose
- a ruler or a straight edge
- something to cut with ( I used this fancy cutting tool but you can totally use scissors)
These footless tights had like a little “hem” on them so first I cut that off.
So I googled that infant headbands are normally between 12-14 inches long. Different types of tights are going to have different amounts of stretch so you will have to kind of play it but ear depending on the tights you find. These tights are stretchy but not super stretchy so I made mine 14″ long.
Gently stretch each end of your strip. This makes the ends curl and makes your edges look finished. Now just tie the two ends in a knot and TA-DA!!!! Cutest, easiest headband ever!!!!!
One Little Minute blog had ANOTHER super cute nylon headband tutorial so I had to share it too! I hadn’t even thought of doing them this way! I mean if you can’ find me I am probably making headbands!!!
