Okay, I may be way behind on this but did you know you could use vinyl on your manicure!?!?! Say what!? Where has this been all my life?
My friend, Rachel, let me come to her house and borrow her Silhouette Cameo (I have a cricut but it is an older model, so it wasn’t ideal for this project. but if you have a newer Cricut it would work for this too) She helped me cut out super cute, teeny, tiny bunnies and a few thin stripes in mint vinyl. *Measure your nails to see how big you want to make these*
I raided my way too large nail polish collection and found some Easter-y colors and painted my nails with a base coat.
I used some tweezers to pick up a bunny decal and placed it on the nail I wanted. How cute is he!!!!
Next I laid one of the stripes on my nail and then used cuticle cutters to trim it to match the width of my nail. I repeated this to get two stripes. And viola…perfect stripes!
The next nail I wanted to purple strips on a mint nail so I laid the stripes on my nail just like before but did not trim them. Make sure and press them down well. Then I painted over the whole nail with purple polish and quickly pulled off the vinyl (If you let it stay on there too long you will pull off your first coat of polish: I learned this the hard way :/).
I also wanted a nail with some dots. I used a dot tool but you can totally use the tip of a pencil and get the same look.
Next and a top coat and you have the cutest Easter nails!!! I mean the possibilities are endless!!! How fun would it be to give a little gift of nail polish and a little sheets of nail decals you made!? Ps I really hate taking pictures of my hands Hahhaa
